Ordona's Temple, Chapter 4The morning of the escapade dawned bright and clear. Rusl was waiting by the southern path's end, hidden in a rocky outcropping. He was nervous about exploring the ruined temple and terrified of what his father would say when he got back, but excitement filled him. Ordon was locked in a painfully dull routine; the most that ever happened was an escaped goat. It would be a nice change to face uncertainty.

With a hushed curse, a bleeding hand and its owner arrived. Colin's hair was full of dead leaves and the occasional twig, and his pants had a torn knee.

"What happened to you?"

"Rusl, don't ask. Just don't"

"Okay." Rusl hid a smile. He knOrdona's Temple, Chapter 4 by ~soccergirl676

Ordona's Temple, Chapter 3"Who was the girl, Uncle Rusl?" interrupted Link. "Was it Aunt Uli?"

With a chuckle, the man answered, "No, the girl was your mother, Lina. You were named after her when you were born."

"When she died, right? I remember when I heard you and Aunt Uli talking one night."

The little boy's eyes were getting dangerously watery. His mother was a touchy subject; he didn't often talk about her. Rusl felt sorry for him, but hoped that his story would help him realize what a great person she had been.

"I owe your mother my life, Link. Not many days go by that I don't think of her. Just don't tell Aunt Uli."

Ordona's Temple, Chapter 2When Rusl woke up, he was positive that he should still have been asleep. He could hear night birds singing, and they always stopped a good hour before the cuckoos crowed. So why was he awake?

The swordsman lazily turned over, so that he was facing the wall. Except he couldn't see the wall. He was startled to find two blue orbs floating an inch from his eyes.

"Oh good, you're awake! I was beginning to think that you'd sleep forever."

"Link," yawned Rusl, "why are you up?"

"You said that you'd tell me story tomorrow. Well, tomorrow's today and today is yesterday now!"

Rusl tried to wrap his groggy mind around the boy's logic. It took a whOrdona's Temple, Chapter 2 by ~soccergirl676

Ordona's Temple, Chapter 1Dusk had fallen on the small village of Ordon. The residents were all inside, kicking back after delicious meals. Fireflies danced by the creek, illuminating the twilight with their flitting movements.

Within the house on the hillside, Rusl was cleaning his sword. He hadn't had to use it for a while, but he felt that it needed to be cleaned nonetheless. His wife, Uli, and a six-year-old boy with pointed ears looked at the blade with interest, their eyes following the dancing firelight on its metal surface.

Eventually, Rusl deemed his work satisfactory. He got to his feet and stretched, which broke the ties holding his sleeve in place. The fOrdona's Temple, Chapter 1 by ~soccergirl676
